Church Ministries

Granby Congregational Church has many ministries in motion.

We are fortunate to cultivate and nurture a number of ministries that fall outside of our faith ministry. These are members and friends of the congregation who form small groups within the church that operate and orchestrate specific programs, events or undertakings that are not under the governance of the Church Council. They do, however, keep our church leadership informed and, if necessary, reach out for guidance and/or approval of specific initiatives they may have. A few of these ministries are:

Open Cupboard Pantry – Mindful of food insecurity, members have paired with CT Foodshare to provide groceries for those in need at our North Campus at 219 North Granby Rd. every Friday afternoon from 3 to 4.

The Garden of Gratitude — A south campus vegetable garden to feed those in need.

Our Memorial Gardens — North and South Campus resting places of loved ones ashes.

Care Community — Reaching out to those members and friends who are ill or in need.

The Prayer Circle — Church members and friends who lift prayers that are brought to their attention.

The Storytelling Group — A group that fosters friendship and understanding with one another through the act of sharing stories.

Group Yoga — Held each week at both campuses to anyone interested in learning how to use yoga in their daily lives.

Granby Congregational Church believes that supporting these ministries not only leads to personal self fulfillment, but also to spiritual growth.
